Not your average girly-girl, pet photographer Eshita Prasanna believes in marching to her own beat. 
Gone are the days when accepted careers for women oscillated between doctors and engineers. Writing her own rules and playing the game on her own terms is Mysore-based brown-eyed beauty Eshita Prasanna whose visiting card reads pet photographer—a profession that allows her to combine her love for the lens and furry creatures alike. The line of work was a no-brainer for Eshita who just can’t get enough of animals (she doesn’t play favourites and says she loves them all equally!). So after acquiring a Masters in Photography from Light & Life Academy in Ooty, she channeled her passion and talent into starting her own company called Tail Shots. 
It helps that this young entrepreneur is outdoorsy and tomboyish by nature. “I’ve never been one for girly-girl dresses or accessories. Which helps as I have to roll, squat and even run behind pets to photograph them!” she exclaims. “My personal style is very funky and my wardrobe mainly consists of t-shirts, shorts and denims.” As far as jewellery is concerned, she likes to keep it simple, turning to simple hoop earrings or diamond stud earrings for daily wear, as they don’t interfere with her work. “I’ll wear chokers once in a while too, though it’s pretty rare, “ she adds. While she doesn’t have a penchant for feminine clothing, she does maintain a poised and charming demeanour at all times. And going by the articles that have been published about her in The Hindu, The New Indian Express and Deccan Chronicle among others, it’s safe to say that this click-happy lady is pretty famous too. You go girl! But it’s not the accolades or articles that brings out the most honest smile on her face.
