Peridots are one of the few gemstones that appear in one colour range only – from yellow green to brownish green, with the most valuable stones carrying a warm shade of olive green, with a hint of pale yellow or gold – like young leaves seen in evening sunlight. No wonder then, that Peridots are also known as evening emeralds.
